Distance Learning at LCC!

Lassen Community College offers a growing number of distance courses, delivered via correspondence or the internet. These classes can be a great option for anyone with a busy schedule such as a full-time job, children at home, or just transportation constraints! To be successful in these courses it's critical for you to understand the importance of time management and independent study skills prior to enrollment.

Online Courses

Students curious about taking classes on line may register as guests in USING MOODLE, a tutorial introducing Lassen College's on-line programs.
To enroll in a Moodle online class, students must be registered with Lassen College and have an email address. Both Yahoo Mail, Hot Mail, Gmail, etc. provide free, Internet-based email accounts. (Click on the blue, underlined text to go to that web page.)

For instructions on creating a Moodle account and registering, go to the  Create an New Account page and follow the directions. If you are adventurous, liking to find your own way, click on the words "Create new account" above and follow the directions.

Correspondence Courses

Course packets for students enrolled in  Correspondence courses are mailed prior to the term start date. For this reason, please assure the Admissions and Records Office has your current address and contact information.
