We are pleased to announce that the Lassen Community College Licensed Vocational Nursing Program will begin February 1st, 2017. This program has been completely revamped and has been built to offer our students a comprehensive top level nursing education. Our goal is to ensure that we produce confident and competent nurses, prepared to join our local workforce.
As we move swiftly through the next month there are many important dates to consider:
December 22, 2016 – Application period opens, online applications will be accepted from December 22nd, 2016 through January 11th, 2017.
*To apply click the application link, you will need your LCC student identification number. You will also be asked to upload proof of high school completion or equivalent, your unofficial transcripts, and proof of CPR certification.
January 3rd, 2017 – Mandatory Information Session at Middleton Hall on the Lassen Community College Campus. The session will be offered at both 1:30 PM and 6:30 PM, doors will open 30 minutes before the session start time. All prospective students are required to attend this information session.
January 11th, 2017 – Application period closes at 11:30 PM.
January 13th, 2017 – If more than 26 “Qualified” applications are received a committee will meet to randomly select students through a lottery drawing.
January 13th, 2017 – Applicants will be notified of their status in the program through email communication, 24 students will receive acceptance letters, 2 students will receive alternate status letters and the remainder will receive instructions on the next application period for the Fall 2017 course.
January 18th, 2017 – Nursing program orientation, this will be a mandatory event for all individuals accepted into the nursing program.
February 1st, 2017 – Official Start of the Spring 2017 Licensed Vocational Nursing Program at Lassen Community College!!!! (Pending approval)
